Edmonton Oilers stars Leon Draisaitl, Zach Hyman, and Connor McDavid spoke positively about the team's off-season additions and the hiring of new head coach Todd Babcock at the Zach Hyman Celebrity Classic.
Leon Draisaitl, 30, has been a cornerstone for the Oilers, scoring 35 goals and recording 62 assists for 97 points in 65 games this season. Over his career, he has amassed 1,053 points in 855 games, winning multiple prestigious awards including the Hart Memorial Trophy and Art Ross Trophy.
Zach Hyman and Connor McDavid also expressed optimism about the team's direction. McDavid, 29, has been on a historic pace this season, tallying 48 goals and 90 assists for 138 points in 82 games. Hyman, 34, has contributed 31 goals and 21 assists for 52 points in 58 games this season.
The Oilers are entering the season with a new coaching staff and a number of new additions including goalie Frederik Andersen, and the team's core players are confident in the direction of the franchise.
